Stairsneach is a Gaelic word, and means "threshold'.

— Distilled on the east coast of islay & matured in traditional oak casks previously holding bourbon, stairsneach packs a hearty punch of peat smoke with a distinct medicinal profile. The clear and vibrant notes of iodine, sea mist, old wood, hot tar & smoke gradually give way to a more subtle, flowery and malty bouquet. There are roasted sunflower seeds, generous maltiness and a hint of menthol.
